Fuji MPP Film Capacitors

Applications

This series of capacitors has been designed in oval shape according to VDE 0560 - 8FPU class, UL - 810, IEC - 252 - 1 for all types of A. C. applications, where high degree of protection against explosion or fire is required.

These capacitors are available in single as well as dual ratings.

Construction

The capacitors are filled with oil and are housed in an oval aluminum casing having an explosion and fire proof system. This system is based on bulging of the upper deck of the capacitor following an internal over pressure which disconnect is disconnected from the mains before the casing reached it's limits of over pressure causing explosion or fire. An increase in the internal pressure is caused by chem. bical decomposition of polypropylene film in the areas where long and frequent self healing discharge occur e. g. at the end of the capacitor's life span or in case of an improper use of the capacitor.
